This happened to me for the second time last night. I was sleeping on the couch. In my dream, i was in the same position on the couch as i was when i fell asleep. Everything seemed real. Except there was this LOUD noise and it kept getting louder and louder and i couldn't move or speak and I kept telling myself to wake up but i couldn't. When i did wake up, i couldn't move or speak for a while and I felt something in teh? room with me. Freaky shit.

I literally just woke up from SP. After I had a terrible nightmare about being killed and having my organs? harvested, I somehow went into a 3d person view of me in my bed. No voices or monsters, nothing like dat. But after awhile I did feel anxious and scared then I couldn't breathe then that's when I woke up.

I`ve had SP once, and it really isn´t as scary or negative as this clip indicates. I felt like floating next to my bed and some "thing" was pulling me from my ankles. But as I knew that it is natural thing to happen when you´re stressed out or sleep deprivated it wasn´t horrifying? at all. It is scientifically proved that your right hand side of the brain is activated during SP which causes the hallusinations of human fiqures.

You've just hit the nail square on the head. After it happened to me I came online to look for similar experiences. I'd never even heard of the "old hag". Not only did I come across many identical? accounts, but saw pictures depicting exactly what happened to me... the entity with the same long, scraggly hair & long fingernails reaching toward me, hovering above me in bed. Makes it pretty hard for me to write it off as a hallucination.

Not sure I'd make the quantum leap to say demons are real, but hag accounts go far back into history and most are nearly identical. Logically, it's hard to write it all off as myth or mass hallucination. Really hard in my case, because I saw one one night when I was wide awake & lucid. I think there's a rational? explanation though, and that it's preternatural, not supernatural... like beings existing in frequencies out of our range of perception. But every system has glitches.

Omg ... This is exactly what happened to me!!? well, not the old hag, but there is a dark shadow, I think its male, and at first it just sat on me.. and then a few nights later it started choking me! And it was sooo evil, I can't really explain it.. you just know, that the ting or whatever is pure evil..

@5pectron ...the demon that is attacking me starts to whisper really obscene things in my ear and starts to laugh in this very wicked way. It's pretty scary! Oh and I can't move at? all. Sometimes it is several shadows coming over to my bed while I'm laying there. It takes a lot of effort trying to wake up. When I do I notice my arms are really sore where the demon was holding me down. Does this happen to anybody else?

@5pectron People who have never had sleep paralysis don't understand how scary these experiences are. They think we are just making it up. But I too see visions come into my room. I wake up and I'm? in my room and suddenly this evil presence enters my bedroom and comes toward my bed and stands by and looks at me. Then it sits on top of me and starts to choke me. While that is happening another "person" comes in and looks out the window and doesn't help me while I'm being strangled.
