I missed this vid...it didn't appear in my sub box and I tend to not look anymore. You MUST Skype me when you put out a new vid! Funny thing though.? I was just wondering how these trees were doing (I have a history with them you know) and if they were alright just yesterday. Today I looked to see if I'd missed any of your vids and...voila! Why do something simple when you can complicate things adding a bit of drama where you can?? LOL I have learned a few things about it and one really important thing! The important, "good to know" thing is that it's not a plum tree! It's a nectarine tree...ROFL!! The tags for the plum tree and the nectarine tree were switched so, that is an important part of figuring things out. I'm hearing that it's wind damage! I'll be? moving ALL 4 of the fruit trees in the fall. :-)

Hi Garz!! I'm just seeing this! From what I'm hearing around here, it's wind damage, so I guess I will be moving them for next year. Living in a high fire area, it's? illegal to burn leaves, but I will get them out of here just it case! I will be planting the trees in the ground come fall. I didn't want to just yet since I was hoping to move from here and take them with me, but those plans aren't happening anytime soon, so in the ground they go in the fall. xoxoxo

Hi Caylz! I recall your garden dramas from last year. Although by trade I am a gardener, I must say Fruit is my weakest area. However, I can but make some suggestions. I notice the tree is in a pot. Pots dry out? so easy, it may be drying out at a critical stage in spring or late winter without you knowing, causing your problem. If possible, plant it in the ground (in a sheltered spot), feed it a fruit tree specific fertilizer, burn its leaf litter & water it well for 6 months after re-planting.

I hope not, Andy! At this point I'm leaning towards the idea of wind damage.? When I see pictures of wind damage, that is what my tree looks like. Maybe a combo of a couple of things, wind and a disease?? I'm thinking wind is a big culprit here...:-)

Do you spray your trees when they are dormant? I don't and I hear that is a big trick to making things work out come the spring! I'm learning lots of things about fruit trees from this video! Learning about soil, wind damage, fungus, spraying, what to spray when they have leaves, what to do before they go dormant for the winter, etc.? I'm thinking time to just buy at the farmer's market...ROFL!! xoxoxo

I don't think there will be much of a future if we don't help to at least open up minds to new ideas. Being this indoctrinated in this system without an idea of what to do or how to begin again if and when this one fails (which I think is a when), I think we owe it to the generations that follows us to at least have some ideas for them on how to fix what we destroyed. RBE is a great template idea but i must say, in the future let the people choose whatever system they want so that they can be totally free. Thanks, Lisa! I? think it's very possible if people want it. What the Venus Project is about is a resource based economy of abundance instead of our current monetary system. To have peace on the earth and live with the world and not against it will take all of us. A handful of people can't do it due to the mind set being so different than what it is today. I have 4 fruit trees. Only two gave fruit this year, the apricot and white peach trees. The nectarine and plum trees didn't. Just as well I'm thinking now. I'm sorry for what happened. It 'was a real massacre. However remember for next year to take the Protective plastic netting ( grid ) for? birds. It is not nice to see but save the fruit from bird. My problem are not the birds but is the rats. My peach tree this year had deigned to produce only 3 peaches, of which I was proud anyway . In one night they ate two of them and the following night they made out the third.

Thanks for digging through the archives again! :-) I think Global Warming is happening, but I'm not convinced that humans are the reason. I see it more as a cycle of things. I think it's happened before and will happen again. I do see humans on the way to self destruction as you can NOT pollute the environment like we do and not disrupt fragile systems vital to our survival, for example, the water cycle.
